Hi,

I have a small problem in gambit. I have a CATIA file of the body and i sliced it which has a 2D top view of the body. I exported this as an .iges file and from gambit, I imported this iges file doing some virtual clean up.

Now I find it very difficult to turn this 2D body into a face even though i ensured that there are no gaps or intersections. I get an error like this:

ERROR: Can't operate on edge v_edge.645 with associated non-real geometry?

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

You have to convert this virtual edge into a real one. It's been some time that I haven't used this software but you should easily find the item "convert virtual geometry" or something like that.
