I'm very newbie with this tool (I used to work with GAMBIT, but since license got expired and they decided to buy ANSYS 12...)
Im trying to do a 2D mesh from a two coaxial pipe (transversal cut). I have tried to make 2 blocks (one for internal pipe, and other for external) to mesh them differently, but somewhere in the proccess I make something wrong, since the program shows errors or doesnt make what i want. Can you help me discover what I do wrong? Or at least lead me to a ICEM manual for dummies (or something like that)? PS: Attachment is for giving an idea of what i´m trying to mesh (i´m only representing half pipe in cut since it is simetric) |

In ICEM CFD you don't create a block for each section, you create a block and split it into the sections (split block)... More like a sculptor than a brick layer.
This is actually a very simple thing to do and I am happy to show you if you are still interested... (I am digging thru old CFD-Online threads). Simon |
