Hi,
My question is about the prism generation: Here are my specifications : 3 layers of prism with an initial height of 0.0025 and a growth ratio of 1.3. If i specify those values in the "Part Mesh Setup", how does ICEM generate the prism? Does it calculate the total height, then push the tetra, and finally cut the prism into 3 parts ? Or does it push the tetra, then create the first layer, then push again the tetra for the 2nd layer etc.. ? I know ICEM allows to create one layer then split it, but this leads to create pyramisd (which I must avoid) if the 2 walls are too close from each others. Thanks, |

You can use the option "Auto Reduction" together with Laplace smoothing of surface elements to prevent formation of pyramids between close surfaces. Splitting method for prisms is recommended since the last layer is created with similar volume as the adjacent tet
