HI SIMON
why after converting my mesh in icem to unstructured mesh and then while smoothing it using orthogonality the mesh became distorted and the quality became very bad why is that ?I feel very frustrated
also can we smooth the mesh before converting it to unstructured?

This is the official topology from my tips and tricks ppt... It is just half of 1 out of 117 slides... You can get it in the ANSYS customer portal.

Of course, this just shows the first step. you would then add the Ogrid thru the volute, etc.
