Hi all,

I'm trying to create simple enclosure with one plane over the attached model.

The problem is that the operation fails with " Error- operation would result in non-manifold bodies context: Geometry Engine, while generating feature enclosure3.
"

I guess that it comes from the 3 red lines indicates that they are not connected, but I couldn't connect them no matter what I tried...

Thanks for your help!

I am facing same problem. Did you find solution to it?

I tried to use sew operation but in vain.

The bodies at the base of the wings meet at the bottom of the fuselage at an edge. I guess combined they are not really a "valid" solid. You cant subtract or combine something with zero thickness, which i guess is what this connection is treated as. For example, you cant unite the two wing bodies together.

Thats my theory anyway

Can you please show me the screen shots (design modeller) of the operations you have applied in sequence . Can you please explain the overall procedure ?

Thanks for your help.

Disregard my last post/file.

The main problem is that your fuselage was a surface and the rest are solids. I closed the holes in the front and back with Concept > Surfaces From Edges. Then in your Sew body operation, make sure to select Yes in the "Create solids?" fields.

Then its a simple manner of creating the farfield and subtracting the plane.

Hi,
Thank you everyone for sharing your precious solutions and helping each other. I am here to ask about my problem in transient structural analysis.
When i am importing my geometry for transient structural analysis, it is showing various yellow patches, and when i zoom in enough, it shows red lines. I am not able to do boolean operation due to this issue. can you please help me in this issue.
Secondly, i tried the same geometry separatly in fluent and i did not saw any yellow patches and red lines. Boolean was possible by suppressing few bodies. I think, geometry has some issue.
Kindly check images, and help me.
