hi every body, first, this site is awesome, I have found a lot of solutions for CFD troubles, thanks. a now the questions for help.
Im modeling in CFX solid - liquid phase flow, the objective is to simulate the transport of cuttings generated by the drilling bit during oil well drilling, I have achieve transient simulations with good agreement, and now I want to give the ultimate real approach of this model, simulate the rate of penetration of the drilling bit, the model is simple I have an annular domain with inlet and one outlet, that simulate the hole while drilling with the solid liquid flowing trough it (out)-----------------------------(in) <- drill bit advancing in the formation well hole what I want to do is simulate the change of the length of penetration of the drilling bit in the formation 1hr (out)-----------------------------(in) well hole distance 100m 10 hr (out)-------------------------------------------(in) well hole distance 150m that implies that the domain have to grow, let say in the Z direction at certain velocity. ANY IDEAS, I have tried mesh deformation but I guess that's not the way as I have read, ANY IDEAS? when I move IN bound it advance but deformation exist I want to keep its form but Im really lost in this situation to increase wall.
