For my master thesis in constructional engineering, I'm trying to construct a model of a historical tower along with it's foundation and the underlying soil. This includes:
3D solid model of the tower (made out of different 3D solids imported as .sat's) analysed with "static structural" analysis system underlying foundation (3D solid imported as .sat ) Surrounding soil made out of different layers The tower itself isn't that big of a problem. However, I don't know how to make soil-structure analysis's or how to even correctly define the soil in in Ansys or Ansys workbench. Apparently soil is modelled with the Drucker-Prager yield criterion but other i would like some practical help using it in the correct software (is it even possible in workbench? ) Any help? |

Hi,
It has been a year and no one here responded to you. Did you find out how to do it? I am trying to do a project involved with soil too but I came across your question now and no one responded so far. Hopefully, someone read this and at least give some hints. |
