Hi there,
Problem in the program CFX-Post with a FLUENT .dat file. Setup: Transient analysis of a custom wind turbine blade. Rotating around the hub (not modeled). Imported blade geometry, created new plane and body operation (move) in order to ensure the axis of rotation was correct, created two enclosures, a sphere (rotating domain) and box (stationary domain). Then a Boolean to remove the blade from the sphere to create the solid. Named Selections: Inlet, Outlet, Box Wall, Sphere Interface Problem: The simulation runs fine and results are as expected, but I was looking to perform some more in depth analysis. The blade (pictured) is quite a complex shape, but I was hoping to get the forces acting on the blade top surface and bottom surface. Before in a previous problem with a fan blade, I created a line across the blade surface and plotted the pressure results, but this is not possible in this scenario due to the twist angle. In short, is it possible to select a specific surface in CFX-Post to perform Function calculations on? Or ideally create a line that follows the surface of the blade? Apologies if this problem seems basic but can't quite figure out how to do the problem. Thank you for your help! |
