Basic result interpretation -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

skriveleif New Member H. Join Date: May 2017 Posts: 1 Rep Power: 0	Hello, im a first year student, so i'm very new to Ansys. I have modeled a simply supported beam in ansys with evenly distributed load like this: https://gyazo.com/8671baf6211245164f5152f6d9a0a515 I am now supposed to analyze the stress and strain results in the web and in the flange and make some brief comments on it. von Mises stress: https://gyazo.com/96c735298fcc13ebec10863ac2c08bc6 I'm not sure how to approach this, and how to interpret the displayed numbers. Can anyone give me some tips and guide me in the right direction?
