Hey guys, sorry but i'm kind of new in cfx particle tracking. Hopefully you can help.
i'm doing steady state simulation in cfx with particle tracking. It's about a flow or streams in a water tank for circulation. I put a mass flow of defined particles into the streams. At the Top of the tank the particles get absorbed. I got results on 10000 iterations and on 20000 iterations. After about 5000 iterations there is something like a convergence. The user Point (Ave Velo in the Tank) still fluctuates around a value but the residuals are below 10^-4., see Pictures. Mass Imbalance is 10^-5. I compared the results and got some differences. You can see the differences in the Tracking of the particles in the Pictures. I expected more or less the same Tracking. Can you explain it to me? Is it because fluctuation around the user Point? and mass Imbalance needs to get even lower? What could be a good convergence criteria? Thanks and regards |
