Hi,

I am working on a project based on the flutter analysis. To do it, I am trying to do a 2-way FSI study with ANSYS-FLUENT. I am facing some problems. In my case, the study is at Mach 5.0. I need to get modal shapes of the geometry for vibration purposes.

-Which solver is the most accurate one for a transonic flow?
-In fluent, I have defined a velocity inlet and pressure outlet, but I dont know if this is correct in this situation.
Should i use density based solver or pressure based?

Thank you in advance.

It is hard to give advice without knowing the geomery a bit more in detail.

I assume you are referring to the fluid dynamic part (not structural): I can suggest density based solver.

For the boundary conditions: you should specify the inlet Mach number with pressure-inlet and the pressure-outlet for the outlet. With pressure-inlet, you can set total pressure, temperature and supersonic (gauge) pressure.
