Hi,
I have a problem with the fiber orientation on my composite helical spring project. I needed the rosette to follow the path of the helix, so I took an edge from the Mechanical Model ("EJE PRINCIPAL") and set the rosette to "Edge Wise". Then I set the orientations of the axles and create the plies (+-45º). The thing is that I may have done something wrong, because the visual of the fiber orientation doesn't seem as it is plotting the plies as required (as you can see in the photo of YT). It seems like the orientantion is not correct ¿What am I doing wrong? As i could've seen on the video posted by Ansys, the orientation should be seen as the photo. Thank you. |

I think It seems true the direction of fibers looks strange but the procedure seems allright.
