Pardon me for being ignorant. I am having some trouble producing a geometry file using star-cd. i set it up as i am supposed to, but when i go to produce the .geom file, i receive the error that "events data file has not been connected. please connect to a valid events data file before using the geom command"

i swear i have it all correctly set up.

does anybody know what i can do to resolve the problem.

Maybe you have not completed the event defination. if you have done, you can use "evfi conn" to connect the existed .evn file.

you must specify an event file where Star have to look for the moving mesh.
