I was hoping cfd would help in answering a question posted
in another forum: http://www.scienceforums.net/topic/8...-rising/page-6 Briefly, the question is: How the is fluid flow affected by a rising hydrofoil where the cause of the rise is due to the fluid flow? For example, is the fluid's velocity or static pressure after the hydrofoil decreased to compensate for the rise of the hydrofoil? I'd guess it would have to be the static pressure because if the velocity were decreased the fluid would accumulate after the hydrofoil.Since the thread on scienceforums seems non-converging, I was hoping someone could use CFD to provide a convincing answer. -regards, Larry |
