Hi everyone,
Basically I am looking so simulate gas filtering through a liquid based on the pressure applied. You can imagine this as a scrubber system (air pollution control devices) hookahs, inhalers, etc... I am using OpenFoam and pretty new to it but have a solid grasp of it. I was thinking of using similar to interFoam? Not sure how I can simulate pressure applied causing air to go through the liquid (bubbling, filtering?). Are there previous work on this topic through the use of OpenFoam? Should I use Ansys Fluent in this case? Any help is much appreciated. Thank you |

Hi Kohbodi,
you could try the following BCs at inlet to make air particles enter the fluid. BCs for inlet: - pressure: 'totalPressure - velocity: 'pressureInletVelocity' more then interFoam, I would look for extensions of it such us bubbleFoam or similar. If you need some help let me know or please write me in private. Christian |
