Hello everyone

is it possible to write out transient results files in accordance with mesh quality criteria?
it is necessary for "user defined remeshing".
i'd like to write out the trans-result file when the interruption criterium is met (mesh quality becomes too low), then export it to .cgns format
i can't set "export results" option in pre, because boundaries in my domain move.
is it possible to do it from command line?
and afterwards i'd write batch file with these commands for external command in user-defined remeshing.

Hello, you can try changing the settings for the output timestep. Instead of outputting results every timestep you can set it to an expression; that expression could be an IF function that checks the mesh size against a criteria and then checks the current time... I'm not sure how you'd convert that trn file to a .cgns, for staters, do transient results files include info on the mesh quality? you might have to use backups instead.

it's a good idea - i'll try. Transient files have mesh information. In fact, they include the same information as res files do
