Hi all,

I have a question. If i have a model f.e. a duct which includes a porous domain as part of the duct and a pressure drop between the openings of the duct, so I will get a mass flow.

If i set porosity of the porous domain part to 1 and the loss coefficient to 0 .... I get the same results as i will set the porous domain as fluid domain (which sounds logical)

But if I set the domain motion to rotational with any angular velocity, axis definition and frozen rotor boundary setting, the result of the porous domain case (where one part of the duct is set to porous domain with porosity 1 and loss coefficient 0) differs from that one I get with the simple fluid domain case (where all parts are fluid domains).

In other words, if I include a porous domain in any model with porosity 1 and loss coefficient 0, why can there happen anything different as if I would set the domain to fluid domain ??

Can anyone help me by that?

Thank you, best regards,
Christoph
