Hi Guys,

I have a question, I am modeling a boiler with inlet that has certain flow rate and outlet which has 0 relative pressure, domain pressure is 1 atm. Now I want to change the model such that there is a restriction at the inlet side. How can I check how much less flow would I get under the new conditions, considering that this boiler runs on natural draft, i.e. there is no fan to force certain flow.

I calculated the pressure across my boiler due to buoyancy effect and it turns to be something like 50 pas in normal case. Is it possible to use pressure limits to drive the flow? normally we use mass flow at the inlet and pressure at outlet and then we calculate the pressure at the inlet to fine the difference. In this case can we use inlet with pressure and outlet with pressure? and how reliable is the solution.

Also do we need some sort of initialization since the flow is driven by buoyancy and density gradient, so at the beginning the solution wont see density gradient and it might go crazy.

Thank you.
