Hi,
I have been trying to track how the mesh is deforming with time in my transient case. It is finally creating some negative volume elements. Is there a way to animate the mesh deformation through CFD-Post?

create a plane, display the mesh on that plane, animate?

Hi,

Is there any way to display the volume elements in the CFX results (.trn files). My simulation comprises mesh deformation. I need to have a notion on how my volume elements are deforming throughout the simulation.

Thanks!
Mehdi

In Post, you can plot a volume. This will plot the full 3D-elements.
There are several options plot a selection of elements. I hope the right option is there for you.

Hi Gert-Jan,

Thanks for the reply.
I am using V16. Is this an newly introduced option of CFD-Post?

If it is not, may I ask you to let me know where should I search for this option?

Thanks.

I don't know if it present or absent in v16. I don't have all old versions installed.

If present, you should look for it in the top ribbon and select Insert>Location>Volume
