Hi, I would like to know if can model heavy oil in the material section of pre-CFX as water and only change the properties like specific heat, density, thermal conductivity, vicosity ( including an expression dependent on temperature) or any other properties?

How different would this be from including the heavy oil as new material with all the components and fractions..etc.?

Take on account that the purpose is to simulate CHT between the heavy oil and solid heater in the production pipe?

Thanks in advance

If you are happy to model heavy oil as a constant properties liquid then yes, just modifying the parameters you describe is appropriate.
