Hi everyone, Can anybody explain me "Procedure for simulating the quadcopter rotor using Ansys Fluent or CFX". Please explain me step by step in details because i dont know how to start solving this problem.

Anyone who is interested in quadcopter simulation here is a quadcopter simulation project available freely: http://fetchcfd.com/view-project/687

Depends on what you want to simulate
I can imagine 4 rotating domains (rotors) and one stationary (everithing else), unles you can simplify and simulate only one or two corners so 1/4 or 1/2 of the problem that I have described this depends on the direction of rotation maybe it is not even posible to use simetry it depends on your geometry also. Than you can set angular velocity to propelers get vhat torque is needed for that angular velocity, see how much lift you get at that particular angular velocity and becouse you get the torque you can calculate the power neded to lift some veight, that is probably usefull data Last edited by urosgrivc; May 26, 2017 at 08:59. |
