alimea is on a distinguished road
Hi all
My problem is a free convection flow and heat transfer in a box filled with water with a free surface (In the vicinity of air, like sea) and a cylinder at the middle of box that has 301 K. the water is 295 K.

in CFX:
1- How can I active Buossinesq approximation?
What is "Buoy.Ref. Temp" ?
2- What should I do about boundary condition of velocity and temperature on free surfacer?
3- what is the heat transfer coef and how much is it?
4- Thermal energy is correct?

Thanks

Opaque will become famous soon enough
You should look into the documented tutorials, for example

Chapter 8: Buoyant Flow in a Partitioned Cavity

The process of setting up natural convection model is described in detail.
