Hi,
I have to simulate an impeller with two other solid body (one around, the cover, one behind, the frame). I’ve delimited the three body with an enclosure. I need to perform several simulation changing the fan… so I think that the best option for me is run, in the first instance, steady state simulations. I’ve seen the MRF method but I don’t know how set the frame and the cover, and to be honest I’m a bit confuse about the different methods possible in the steady mode. Can you explain me please? I’ve also tried to make a transient simulation following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5IJEpPDyxs but I have not understand why he doesn’t impose the BC at the inlet and at the outlet: he impose them like a wall with mesh motion unspecified. I don’t know anything about my problem, so I’ve created a large domain (enclosure) to set the total pressure at the inlet of the domain and the static pressure at the outlet (reference value of 0). Maybe in the transient simulation it doesn’t matter to be far enough to the fan? Thanks in advantage |
