i have a problem with a solid domain in CFX pre. Few fins are placed on a surface of thickness 2.5 mm , and this geometry is placed on a heat source, and heat is conducted from source . I wanna see the heat distribution in the domain. Is this solid domain adiabatic or something else? and what should I use about the source, inlet or wall??

This sounds very similar to the heat coil tutorial example. So please go to the ANSYS customer webpage and look at the heat coil tutorial example.

Are you saying you cannot find the tutorial examples or that you have completed the tutorial but don't understand how to do your case?

I understand my problem what to do with it but don't know to deal with CFX pre . I have a problem with this software . I saw few related tutorial in youtube but all of their work done by ANSYS fluent or workbench . As a new comer i can't compare them with CFX pre.

That's why I am asking for a link (pdf or video ) which done by CFX pre

Particularly, processor's heatsink thermal analysis will be better for me .

Lots of tutorials are available on the ANSYS Customer website (https://support.ansys.com/portal/sit...CustomerPortal). This is only available to commercial and research licenses and not to student licenses. Students can access the student resources at (https://www.ansys.com/academic/free-...port-resources).
