Hello everybody,
question: what is the significance of the stoke component, in flows? - is this just the synonym for secondary flows like vortices in a dead angle, or does this terminology refer to viscosity effects on results, or other? Thank you |

Hi Sara,
I don't know what you mean. Stokes flow is very low Reynolds number flow where the flow is laminar, strongly dominated by viscous effects and there are no seperations. Is this what you are referring to? Regards, Glenn |

Hello Glenn,
first thanks for the definition. I believe that's the one: appears as if your definition fits the 'dead angle' circulating flow, as with a step changed cross section chanel flow, mentioned previously. Confirmation appreciated. Best regards, Sara |
