Dear Sir, I am writing to ask a question.I am astudent of Fluid Mechanical engineering at Isfahan University of Technology.I would be glad if you could help me with my duty.I am going to learn such kind of CFD analyser software.I can purchse ANSYS FLOTRAN OR FLUENT and GAMBIT.I am really looking forward to know your suggestion. You are talking "religion" here.
But since you are on the CFX user forum, the answer you'll get (mostly) will be CFX from ANSYS. If you want another answer, go to the other forums. Jeff |

Hamed,
First, if you want to know which software to use, ask on the main forum and specify the problem you're going to solve with CFD code. There are codes, where some problems might be easier to solve then with others. Generally, any top CFD code can solve most of the typicall problems.It is allways question of money and user support. I'd suggest you a package, which is used around you. Your work will progress much faster if you can ask a living human, then us, virtual forum people. FLOTRAN is not really full cfd package. It is more cfd add-on to ANSYS. matej |
