Hello!

I'm quite new to CFD and trying to simulate a case of rotating body using ANSYS CFX 18.0
I set time 20s and time step 0.05s.
I'm not sure If I can get data at different times within my simulation?
As for example I need to get vertical velocity contours at 5s 10s 15s.
I tried couple of things with the help of this forum but nothing worked out

I tried to do it using timestep selector but it shows only the last time which is 20s.

Is it possible to get the results at different times without having to simulate it again at different time using cfx?
Immidiate response will help a lot
Thanks

Gert-Jan will become famous soon enough
If you don't tell CFX what to do, it will only write a results file at the end of your calculation (=1 .res-file). That is what you obtained.
There is no fall back scenario. You have to rerun the case.

So, go to Pre and tell CFX what to save at intermediate timesteps. Therefore go to OutputControl > Transient results. There you can tell when and what to save.
You can choose for a complete file at every time step. I always use "Selected variables" like Velocity, Pressure, Temperature, TKE, etc. With this, you get small .trn-files with only the data you are interested in. Saves a lot of disk space......

Good luck, Gert-Jan
