I have Axial force (Fn) and Tangential force (Ft) components in cylindrical coordinates. I want them to implement as an Additional Variables in terms of Vector Algebraic Equation in the rotating domain.

The Fluid Models Tab (Fig attached) of domain only shows (Vector xValue, Vector yValue, Vector zValue), do I have to first transform these components into Cartesian coordinates or there some other way to directly use them?

The dialog box clearly wants xyz components, so you need to specify cartesian components.

Note you can also do this by defining a source term.

Thanks Glenn,

Your expert advice made my day. Now its working perfectly. Actually, I was simulating “Actuator Disk model” in CFX, where I was declaring the CEL variables as Additional variable (AV) of CEL expressions and also including in sub-domain as source term. Now it’s clear to me that only just use sub-domain and make direct link to expressions (Force/volume) as a source.
