How to import the PRO/E geometry negative volume

Hi. I have the PRO/E model of a pump stage. I need to import it in CFX, but I don't know how I can get the negative volume, I mean: the volume occupied by the flow. In fact when I try to import the geometry I get the solid volume. Thanks

Do you mean that you want to import your CAD geometry from PRO to CFX-mesher? If so, try to convert it to IGES format. You can only import your CAD geometry directly to CFX if you have the license for this feature.

Without a CAD interface license you can use IGES or STEP. If you have DesignModeler (which comes with CAD2Mesh), you can also use Parasolids.

Probably beacause of my bad english i couldn't explain the problem. I have the Pro/E model of the solid volume. I mean, the walls, the blades and so on every solid part of the pump. But when I import it in CFX, I need to work with the fluid volume! The software instead gives me the solid volume, the one described in the pro/e file. So i guess i have to operate somewhat a "negative feature" to obtain the fluid volume, and then build the mesh in it. Thanks again.

There is a fill feature and an enclosure feature that you can use to make the fluid volume in DM, or you could create it in Pro/E. There is no way to automagically extract a fluid volume.
