Hi

I want to make some graphs of the data I have obtained in CFX. I want to make a graph that shows the temperature change over time for different simulations. Therefor I want to extract the data time and temperature, how is it possible?

Thank you!

Yes. I assume this is a transient simulation. The best way is to define a monitor point with the CEL expression you wish to calculate. Then the solver will output the value for each time step as the simulation progresses. You can get the data from Solver Manager or a command line tool.

If you have already done the simulation you can only get the values of your expression for time steps you have saved a results file for. You can use the function calculator in CFD-Post (or any of several other tools) to calculate it over all the time steps you have results files for.

Now I am inside the function calculator why does it assume that I want to calculate for pressure?
I can choose Ave, minVal, maxVal and want it to calculate the min, max and average temperature of the fluid not the pressure.

...... then change it from pressure to temperature. Isn't that obvious?

There are extra controls which are not visible on your screen. The scroll bar on the right side will let you see the extra controls.

Your screen must be very low pixel resolution if it has had to be shrunk that much. You should try to run at higher screen resolution and things will be much easier. Have a look at your display settings.
