Hello,

I am currently working on the case of dispersed liquid-liquid flows in a vertical pipe . I have a question about the relative velocity profile.
I made a simple case where I only consider the mean drag force and I made two simulations one for a dispersed air-liquid flow and the other for a dispersed oil-water flow. As shown in the figure below a comparison of the transverse profiles of the relative longitudinal velocity is presented: A uniform straight profile (dispersed phase : AIR) and a profile where we get an acceleration near the pipe wall (dispersed phase: OIL). Only the dispersed fluid has been changed.

Can you please tell me if there is indeed a problem with this acceleration for the dispersed oil-water case? Or is it normal and in this case could you give me an explanation?

Thank you in advance

Please post an image of what you are modelling and your CCL or output file.
