Hello,
I am currently working on the case of dispersed liquid-liquid flows in a vertical pipe . I have a question about the relative velocity profile. I made a simple case where I only consider the mean drag force and I made two simulations one for a dispersed air-liquid flow and the other for a dispersed oil-water flow. As shown in the figure below a comparison of the transverse profiles of the relative longitudinal velocity is presented: A uniform straight profile (dispersed phase : AIR) and a profile where we get an acceleration near the pipe wall (dispersed phase: OIL). Only the dispersed fluid has been changed. Can you please tell me if there is indeed a problem with this acceleration for the dispersed oil-water case? Or is it normal and in this case could you give me an explanation? Thank you in advance |

Please post an image of what you are modelling and your CCL or output file.
