Hi! I´m a new user of CFX. I want to make a simulation with cfx. about a tank with water inside. I want to know if i can define the materails of the tank the for example, concrete or steel.

And what is the best example to made, to praticise.

Because at now, i can´t put water inside the tank!

How i do this?

Thanks!

José!

Hi Jose,

You can define the materials of the tank or the properties of that material, but why do you need to? Is it for heat transfer, fluid-structure interaction, wall roughness effects? The answer to that question would help figure out how to best incorporate this info into the simulation (or if is necessary at all.)

As far as a two-phase simulation, I suggest carefully going through the tutorial on free surface flow over a bump (it's #7 on CFX-11). This should give you hints on how to get started.
