hi
i am trying to model a sloshing of liquid in rectangular tank, i am using workbench 12.1. i make every step to model my case but when the run begain the folowwing error appear CONTAC171 through CONTAC177 elements with KEYOP(2)=2 are invalid elements for the Multifield Solver. 2nd sync. point: Get interface mesh pls tell me who i solve this error thanks |

Are the tank walls/baffles felxible? If not, there's no need to couple to Mechanical, just us moving mesh to move the whole mesh back and fourth in CFX.
The error message above is simple enough. You can't use those elements with FSI. |

yes the tank walls flexible. i ask about how solve the error or how i can change the contact elements in workbench 12.1.

Workbench creates those elements in various different cases - springs, if you have a rigid body, remote displacements,...
So you need to figure out what feature in your case is using those elements, then find a different way to implement that feature. |
