Hi,
I am using CFX13, But i cannot find Spalart Allmaras turbulence models. When i edited the ccl in the Command Editor, changing the TURBULENCE MODEL option to Spalart Allmaras(I do not know if this is right), it showed "The parameter "Option" in "/FLOW:Flow Analysis 1/DOMAINefault Domain/FLUID MODELS/TURBULENCE MODEL" has the value "Spalart Allmaras". This does not match any of the allowed values: "Laminar, k epsilon, k epsilon EARSM, SST, ...". I am not sure if i am using the so called Beta version. How to add Spalart Allmaras turbulence models in CFX.Thanks!!!!! |

(I assume) It's the one called Eddy Viscosity Transport Equation. Check the help files to confirm.

Quote:
"start CFX-Pre and select Edit > Options. When the Options dialog appears, select CFX-Pre and check Enable Beta Features. Click OK to save the change. You will now be able to access the “beta visible” features listed below. " Now I can still not be able to see the spalart-allmaras model. Thanks!!! |

Hi everybody,
I'm trying to use the SA-model with cfx 14.5 but I don't know why the wall scale equation is resolved with this model. Am I making a mistake by defining my case or is it normal? |

Neither the CFX Help or the Training Material from the ANSYS Customer Portal includes anything about the Spalart-Allmaras model since it remains a beta feature but in the CFX (14.5) Modeling Guide section 4.2 it says All turbulence models in CFX are suitable for a wall function method.
