Hello,
I am trying to get local cell film height data from .col file for spray wall impingement simulation. Volume data in the .col file has zero value even if the cell film height is non zero. I am not able to understand why.

Thanks
Nitisha

Nitisha,

How do you know that the film thickness is non-zero at those locations? Could you please let me know.

In the simulation I used O'rourke & Amsden wall film model, where I can get local cell film height as an output if I declare film height as an output in post.in. I converted the output files to the.col and .par format. The .col format gives me boundary cell locations, volume, mass and film ht at the cell location. But the problem is in many cell locations the film height is greater than zero but the volume is zero.
Since at a particular cell location if film height is greater than zero, the volume should also exist, which is not the case in my output file. Please let me know why is it so.

Thanks
Nitisha
