How to add EGR percentage in close cycle? When Im adding EGR fraction in Region and initialization section, my equivalence ratio changes. |

Hello,
You can use our new tool 'Combustion products' to add your EGR. You can find this tool in 'Regions and initialization' tab. The calculated equivalence_ratio includes C and O atoms in CO2 and H2O; which is why the value will change when you add the EGR. On the other hand, react_ratio excludes CO2 and H2O molecules from the calculations. Best, Alireza |

No. It is added to the v2.4 version, which you can download from our download page.

It is easy to add EGR by the tool of 'Combustion products' in CONVERGE STUDIO. But now, I want to optimize EGR rate with GA, which means that at a given EGR rate, I need to directly input the mass fractions of O2, N2, CO2, and H2O into initialize.in without CONVERGE STUDIO. Could you give me some suggestion, thank you very much. Best wishes, Yaopeng |
