I modelled a closed cycle diesel combustion in Converge to validate experimental values where I found the pressure to be matching but the heat release rate have double the values. how to reduce the values of HRR?

also is J/time same as J/CA?

thank you in advance

For engines, the unit of HRR is j/degree. If the pressure can match well with the experiment, HRR should match well too. Can you compare the integrated heat release with the energy that you added based on the fuel mass? If they are very different, you fuel amount may not be accurate.

Thanks,

Thank you very much. I thought of using the pressure values from CONVERGE and obtain HRR by applying 1st law which is quite simple using MATLAB.
