Hi All,
I am trying to study the effect of water on laminar flame speed. I am using the converge 1D tool in order to do that. While setting up the case i don't see any place to add water (I don't want to add EGR as that will contain CO2 as well). Is there anyway to setup the 1D case with water only. Thank you for your help! |

Hi,
You can set custom species for your cases when you open case setup of One-D simulations. case_setup.png Another option is to choose "Specified" as the Generation type in the template tool. With this option you can specify what exactly your EGR is made of. You can choose to include only H2O. template_setup.png |

For some of the cases, the LFS I obtain is zero which is not realistic. Can anyone explain why does it happen

The zero value simply means that the case failed. Please check the log file to find out what conditions are those cases and make sure that they are realistic. If you don't feel comfortable of debugging the setup, please contact support@convergecfd.com so that we can take a look.

When I run the failed cases individually, I get the answer. However, when I run multiple cases some of the cases fail. With multiple cases, when the solver setting is changed failed cases are solved but other cases fails. Can you explain why does it happen? Another question: I am using the 1-D LFS tool to generate a lookup table for G-equation combustion model. Do I need to give a UDF for LFS correlation or does CONVERGE solver interpolates linearly between the temperature and pressure values provided in the table? |
