How can I monitor the convergence situation included the residuals during the simulation in CONVERGE like in ANSYS

Good morning - are you looking to run a steady state or transient run?

CONVERGE does not plot residuals during transient simulations. They are printed in the log file, however, if you are interested in what happened in a particular time step.

Why does Converge choose not to plot residuals like every other CFD provider? It is something I have always struggled to understand.

Is there a clear answer as to why Converge believe they are not important?

Thanks

CONVERGE prefers to monitor state variables, flow characteristics, mass inflow and out flow, as well as heat flow instead of using residuals. In a steady state run this does not mean you cannot use these residuals in conjunction with the aforementioned parameters. Low residuals don't always mean a complete, good solution. The use of residuals can also be manipulated to get to a solution faster. This does not mean a correct solution.

Thanks!
