Hi Support Team,
I am having issues while restarting cases in v3.0.24. I am running spray analysis cases with temporal (in a constant volume chamber) as well as CAD in a full engine setting. I am running into issues while restarting the cases (as shown in the attached images).

The full engine case is the example case provided by Converge.

Thanks,
Sampath

Hello Sampath,

Were there any changes made to the case setup before restarting? CONVERGE does not allow changes to the original case when restarted (only very minor details like end_time, etc can be changed). Were the restart files created in a version other than v3.0.24? Please check if the restart file could be corrupted. Do you have an older restart file you can try instead?

If the above do not shed light into the issue, please reach out to us at support@convergecfd.com. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Please mention your request, attach your case setup and add the cfd-online thread, as reference.

Sincerely,

Hi Kislaya,
I did not make any changes to the case setup before restarting. However, I forgot to mention is that the user restart flag in udf.in is invoked. Do you reckon this is causing the error?

Hello Sampath,

Yes, that seems most likely the case. Which would require a check of the UDFs you are using. Please reach out to us at support@convergecfd.com. Please use your official email for all correspondence with Convergent Science. Please mention your request, attach your UDFs along with a same case setup and add the cfd-online thread, as reference.

Sincerely,

Hi Kislaya,
Thank you for your response and it makes sense now. I emailed Yajuvendra about issue, since he helped with the UDF along with Chu, and I hope it will get resolved.
