Hello, everyone!

I'm using G-equation to simulate combustion in a natural gas engine pre-chamber.
The problem is, after the ignition, the temperature is not high enough to ignite the fuel. But when i simulate it just in a pre-chamber(no turbulence flow inside), the ignition works and the flame can propagate.

The settings of the G-equation are the same as the example case.

Why the ignition does not work in the eninge case? How to correct to increase the temperature after ignition?

Hi Changhao

That is a good question, could you please write an email to support@convergecfd.com with your problem description and your case setup files.

Then, one of our support engineer will work with you to figure this question out.

Sincerely

Lu

Acturally i have contacted the technical support,he suggested to use SAGE combustion model, which is more simple. Do you have any advice? Now I'm trying to iginit the mixture with energy source.

Hello,

Do you know who in our Convergent Science technical support team that you are working with? I can talk to them and take a look at your case files. I want to take a look at the entire case before suggesting what needs to be done.

Thanks,
