Hi,

I am using a CONVERGE 2.4, and I am building a SI engine with the ECFM-ISSIM model.
When I click "check input with Converge", it shows the error "there is no thermodynamic data found for species C in the thermodynamic data file, therm.dat". I examine the whole file, I don't find the species C.
But I also find an error in species.echo, the "num_gas_species" is 26, but the file shows 80.

Could anyone tell me the probable error? Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards
Yaopeng

Hi Yaopeng

Could you please run the same case in our latest CONVERGE 3.0 release (3.0.26) to test if you still have the same problem. We did have several improvements and bugs fixed for ECFM model in CONVERGE 3.0 solver.

If you still have the problems, could you please send us your case setup files to support@convergecfd.com and tell us the release date for your CONVERGE 2.4 Studio. With your case setup, it will be easier for us to check out the problem.

Sincerely

Lu

Hi Lu

I found the reason, I left the "mech.dat" file in the folder, and the program automatically reads mech.dat for the ECFM case. When I delete the mech.dat file, it runs successfully.
Thank you very much for your kind help.

Best regards
Yaopeng
