Hello, community users.

I'm trying to interpret the two-stroke engine as CONVERGE now.

But I have a problem setting up the case, so I want to get help from you guys.

I've got all the case setups done, but it seems the sealing is causing problems.

I'll let you know what the error is

--------------------------------
FATAL_ERROR: The entire geometry has been removed due to sealing, please check the configuration of the seals in the case setup for errors.
--------------------------------

This error message is being output.

I'll capture the sealing and setup details I made and post them up. I would really appreciate it if you could check it out and help.

Do I need to set it in Alignment before setting the seal in Configuration? I didn't.

Because the shape of the transfer port and exhaust port changes when performing alignment, and too many errors occur in diagnosis.

Nevertheless, if I have to do it, I'd love to know how to do it the right way.

If you tell me the order of sealing, I will try hard to make it again.

thanks.

Hi,

We have training material about the sealing available. In the training material, we use the two-stroke engine as an example and list the steps of setting up the sealing, so can you check the training material first to see if it helps? You can download the training material from https://hub.convergecfd.com/, it is under "CONVERGE 3.0 -> Training material".

Besides, some surface preparations are necessary for setting up the sealing, for example, re-generating the linear and the piston skirt so that the number of vertices is the same, proper projection of the ports into the newly generated linear (using "alignment" tab in this step), etc. It is a little hard to tell where went wrong from the figures you uploaded here.

If you still have questions after reviewing the training material, please contact your local CONVERGE support team so we can better assist you.

Thank you.

Dear o_cean,

were you able to solve the problem? If yes, can I contact you via email? I am trying to solve similar issues and following the CONVERGE manuals I haven't achieved it. Regards.

I solved the problem.

I contacted Converge for help.

In my case, the geometry of the case was very complex and the sealing was poor.

Therefore, I gave a command to ignore the error and perform sealing according to the triangle.

Analysis was carried out by inputting the corresponding command into the hidden parameter.

After that the problem was solved.

For complex shapes like this, try contacting Converge if it doesn't work.

According to them, the hidden parameter command was suggested as “I have this function, would you like to use it?!” only when necessary.

Please update to version 3.1 first.

Late but hope this helps.

In case you didn't know, I didn't write a separate command. Please contact us by e-mail if necessary.
