I am somewhat lost regarding how engrid actually works:

Objectives:

1: I'd like to create a 2D mesh (actually for OpenFoam a mesh where the cells are extruded one layer into z as OpenFoam requires a "3D mesh" one layer thick for 2D simulations)

2: I need y+ = 1 which means a wall spacing/first cell hight of 0.000016 for Re=1.5M and about 20 layers of prismatic boundary layer cells.

3: The flow domain size should be (rectangular wind tunnel shape): x: -2c and +7c; y: +/- 4c where c = airfoil chord length, here = 1


Engrid related questions to get started:

I am lost regarding the practical approach and I couldn't find any explanation e.g. for the sphere "tutorial".

How would I create the flow domain? 2D, 3D, as part of the stl?

What would be the following steps to create the mesh?

How would I change the angle of attack for the different simulation, I need to do? Different stl files?

So far, I have created the stl file for the airfoil with a "span" of 1 as It would be used when meshing within OpenFoam

Hello,

I made some progress (trial-and-error) so I was able to create the domain.

I have then tried to create a boundary mesh which didn't work due to "...mesh is overlapping..."

How can I get rid of the problem?
