Hi,
Thanks Eddy for your response. Recently I found that CFView can read CGNS File if the geometry is written in x,y,z coordinates. But it is not reading if the geometry is written in cylindrical coordinates.. Can any one help me out in this regard. Thanks, Vinayender. |

Dear Vinayender,
Could you use Plot3D format? CFView can read this format. Regards, AJi |

Dear Vinayender,
Generally CFView is supporting 2D and 3D structured multi-block and unstructured CGNS data sets. May you know - CGNS is a general purpose format for CFD data storage and cross system compatibility. As far I could see, there are some information included also in the CFView manual, but maybe not specific anbough for your question. Numeca is refering to http://www.cgns.org for a complete presentation of the format. May this will help? Regards, Stephan |

Dear Aji,
Thank you very much for your replay. Will it also support if I write the Grid in Cylindrical coordinates ? Thanks, Vinayender. |

Hi,
Try to use hypermesh to convert any CFD file in a Numeca file, and viceversa. I used that program to mesh some structures for Abaqus FEM, Nastran and Ansys but I've just read about the possibility of mesh the environment like any CFD. If you try to use Numeca IGG environment you'll see that mesh code is very comfortable and the smothing surface option makes a better mesh with a better flow transfer between cells cheers, Sanboju |
