Hi every body
I have a question from one of the softwares of NUMECA, would you please kindly advise?

I am handling pump design and optimization project.
- I do the basic design step using CFTurbo.
- I do the analysis step using the FINE/Turbo (with the mesh
generated in Autogrid),
- I do the fitting process (Fitting the parametric design to my
own design impeller) using Autoblade and Fine/Design 3D
- Now I want to use the next step in Fine/Design 3D software for
optimization, names: AutoBlade_CFD_SCREENING.
in this step I have a problem as follows:

when I set the settings and press the start button, the solution
start, but this error occurs:
"DESIGN3D STOPPED DUE TO THE FOLLOWING ERROR
The IGG/Autogrid igg mesh file cannot be found. Here are some possible reasons : 1/ The IGG executable cannot be found. 2/ No license file/server found. 3/ The mesh generation process failed because : The IGG/AutoGrid template file is not appropriate for this geometry. The blade geometry is not appropriate ot the present IGG/AutoGrid template file The running process has been stopped"

would you please kindly advise me how to solve this?

I also have the same problem.
DESIGN3D STOPPED DUE TO THE FOLLOWING ERROR
Design_3D encountered a problem with euranus in batch mode. The flow solver crashed at the beginning of the run. Here are some possible reasons : 1/ Flow solver not started correctly (check the flow solver .log file) 2/ Flow solver blew up (check the flow solver .std file) The running process had been stopped

I have checked with the Numeca agent in Malaysia, he insist that the problem may be because of poor mesh! I want to check this.

Hi Mahdi,

The 3 possibilities mentioned above is possible to happen. Could you check whether you could launch the Igg and Autogrid5? Secondly, could you check with your local support that you have the valid license to access the FINE/Design3D?

Yes I can launch Igg and Autogrid but I when they must be launched withing Fine/Design in section "CFD screening", it leads to the mentioned error. maybe you are right, but I need a correct license file to compare with the one that is installed on my PC? how can I found it?

You may locate it at c:\NUMECA_SOFTWARE\FINExx_x\flexlm\license.dat. Do send me the file for validity.

Dear Mahdi;
This is not a serious problem.
Please place your working folder, geometric inlet files (i.e. geomturbo file) and other neccessary inlet files on simple root directions such as D:\ , E:\ or similar.
Avoid complicated addresses for your work folder and its supplements.
Desktop is probbaly the worst place your files and databases.

Does it help?

I tried changing driver of my working directory and also changing the mesh generation setting bu it didn't help
