Hello everyone, I am using ANSYS Fluent to do heat transfer modelling. The fluid domain in the case that I am dealing with, is a mixture of 75%H2 AND 25% 3NH. I did some reading on how to creat mixture and I did attempt, which is I don't know if it is correct or not, which is as follow:
  1. first, I enabled the species transport from Models.
  2. I chose hydrogen-air from mixture material.
  3. In the material panel, I got the mixture and underneath there was a list of species that are relevant to that mixture. Those are H2, O2, H2Ogas and N2.
  4. Then I opened the original fluid panel. I cahanged the material type to mixture and the panel updated itself.
  5. In the same panel and within the properties section, there is a field of mixture species. I clicked on edit I got box message divided into two sections, available materials and selected species.
  6. I removed air, water vapor and oxygen from the selected species field.
  7. finally I got H2 & N2 in material > fluid > list.
Can anyone please tell me if what I have done is right and what next?. I still didn't get my mixture.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards
Oula

IN my opinion you can create a mixture as a new material by knowing its properties like density , viscosity thermal conductivity etc. and enter these in fluent database.
