hi,
i have ran this multiphase Eularian with DDPM model for a flow in 1.5 long cylinder. however, the contours and data for the DPM appear for up to 0.4 m of the total pipe length. the particles are injected by surface injection from the inlet... does any body has any hint why is that? thanx in advance |

Is your inlet on the right hand side? Perhaps your particle trajectories are incomplete (check the summary data after simulating), and then you should increase the maximum number of steps in the DPM dialog box. A maximum number of particle steps are specified to avoid infinite loops where particles are trapped in a flow.

Generally trial and error. However, if you're using a highly refined mesh with complex flow then the particle steps should be small, leading to a higher number of steps required when compared to a simple laminar flow with a coarse mesh.
