In multiphase flow simulations, is it possible to add body force that act on a specific phase and not the other. If this is possible, are there any easy resources to do this as I am new to the CFD world.
Thanks

vinerm will become famous soon enough
Applying a source depends on the multiphase model being used. It is doable for all models, however, if it is Euler-Euler model, then it is straightforward since all phases have their own momentum equations. You can just go to cell zone conditions, select the phase that is affected by the body force, and then apply the source. However, if it is Mixture or VOF, then you have to do a little more work since there is a single set of N-S equations. If you apply source term, it gets applied throughout all the phases. So, a simpler solution is to apply the source term as a product of source term and volume fraction of the phase that should have body force applied. In that case, body force will automatically become zero when the volume fraction of affected phase is 0. However, do note that the effects of body force will still be transmitted across all phases in all models due to interfacial exchange terms.

In the process of simulating a rotating cylindrical vessel in water, gas bubbles will be generated. I want to inquire if it's possible to set up this rotating cylindrical vessel problem in Fluent with the presence of gas bubbles?
