Hello All
I have windows 7 (64 bit) operating system and fluent 14. Since past 3 days I have been trying to install Visual Studio and SDK for compiling UDF. Just this morning I managed to fix everything and now I can compile UDF without any problem. Though I am not familiar with Visual Studio and SDK stuff. Before the success I tried several solutions given in forums and other websites. I even tried re-installing Ansys-VS2008-SDK in all possible sequences. I am sure I have installed some useless stuff also. Since my operating system is 64 bit may be I have installed some stuff that were 32 bit. Since everything seems to work fine now I dont want to bother my PC anymore. I am asking these questions because I need to fix the same problem with my laptop and I dont wish to waste same amount of time that I did with the PC. I do understand that visual studio does not care if your system is 64 or 32 bit (Please correct me if I am wrong). How about .NET and SDK? I installed VS2008, then .NET 4 and then SDK (64 bit). Does it matter in which sequence we install these program? |
